When used correctly they will last years! We have been using one ourselves for over eighteen years and have only recently replaced the cable.

There are no expensive electronics or hydraulics to replace in a Bump Gate system. They are not prone to lightning strikes and do not require batteries or solar panels that can be stolen. Bump Gates work all year round and are not affected by prolonged periods of cloudy weather.

Looking after a Bump Gate is easy. Grease the Top and Bottom Hinge twice a year – a five-minute task.
