A man from Eumundi, Queensland called. He had been very happy with his Bump Gate until he had one of those: “You shake your head so hard it nearly comes off your shoulder” moments. The incident involved a bulldozer operator.
He had arranged for a bulldozing contractor to come and make some improvements to a dam he had on his property. The contractor turns up on the appointed day with the bulldozer on a low loader. He finds somewhere out of the way to park the low loader and unloads the dozer outside our customer’s property. He ignores the Bump Gate safety sign displayed on the fence and proceeds to drive the bulldozer through the Bump Gate – Yeah, Right!!!
Our customer needed a new gate, but surprisingly few new Bump Gate parts to have his gate up and running automatically once more, at the expense of the contractor I might add! We hope that the bulldozer driver and anyone else operating heavy machinery around Bump Gates, are now taking notice of safety signs!
